Restoring Our Foundation
Restoring The Foundations (RTF) is a Biblically based healing and deliverance ministry. RTF provides an integrated Bible based frame work to help us work through life's difficulties.
The RTF integrated approach to ministry deals with the four problem areas we all face:
- Generational Sins and Curses
- Ungodly Beliefs
- Soul/Spirit Hurts
- Demonic Oppression
These four areas work together to keep us bound by the same old habits and patterns. In the ministry room we take time to hear the Lord's truths about these areas, and with His help, we gain the knowledge and freedom to break the chains that have bound us, sometimes for years.
Let's look at the four problem areas at little closer:
Generational Sins and Curses:
We all have ancestors that have sinned. We all have family patterns and behaviors and have been influenced by our ancestors. Some of these are positive, while others are negative. Some traits we can see clearly, others are harder to identify.
Down through the ages God has always honored family and heredity. He promised blessing on those that obeyed and loved Him and promised curses for those that disobeyed and had disregard for His ways.
As we come to understand God's requirements, we can effectively deal with the generational sins and curses that have come through our family line. We can then not only cancel the curses, but also receive God's blessing for ourselves and in turn, pass those blessings down our family to our children and grandchildren. (Ex. 20:5 - Lev. 26:40-42 - Gal. 3:13 - 1 John 1:9)
Ungodly beliefs are things that we believe about ourselves, others, or God that are not in line with God's Word, His nature, or His character. We receive ungodly beliefs from our family, our friends, our culture, and our experiences. These ungodly beliefs develop over time and are based on our experiences and painful situations that have happened to us.
But there is a truth above the facts. There is God's truth. Gaining God's perspective and truth on our life and experiences is essential. When we begin to understand God's truth we can come out of agreement with the kingdom of darkness and into agreement with what heaven and with what God says about us and our situations.
When we receive, meditate on, and begin to believe God's truths, we can more fully understand our identity in Christ and walk more completely as sons and daughters of the King. (Rom. 12:2 - Prov. 23:7)
Jesus came to heal the hurting and bind up the brokenhearted. Jesus wants to touch and heal us physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Without the healing touch of Jesus, we will continue to live in and out of past hurts and pain. Jesus wants to remove that pain and heal our hearts. In a divine exchange we can give Jesus our hurts and receive His gentle healing touch in those areas of our life. (Ps. 147:3 - Luke. 4:18)
Evil is real. The devil is out to destroy your life and your destiny. While everything we deal with is not the direct result of demonic activity, we are aware there is also an evil assault on our lives. Demonic oppression helps to keep us in our bondage, holds us back, and prevents us from walking in the full freedom and destiny the Lord has for us.
Deliverance from demonic oppression was, and still is, a normal part of Jesus' ministry and ours. As we have "co-labored with Christ" to bring freedom and healing in the first three areas, we can then dismantle and destroy the demonic strongholds that have been oppressing us. (1 John. 3:8 - Acts 10:38 - Mark 16:17)
We can rarely point to a single cause for problems in our life. These four problem areas are fundamentally connected and intertwined. They work together to hinder us, make us stumble, and cause more hurt and pain. They work to cause us to believe lies about our identity and who the Lord says that we are and who He has called us to be. As we receive ministry to these four areas we can receive the full, lasting freedom that the Father has for us.
Restoring The Foundations offers two types of ministry formats: Issue Focused and Thorough Format.
Issue Focused is a shorter three hour ministry session dedicated to a single issue or problem area.
Thorough Format is a deeper ministry time spread over a week. It is a total of 15 hours of ministry for a single person (five, three hour sessions) and 19 hours for a married couple (two, two hour couple sessions and 15 hours of individual ministry for each spouse).
Our RTF Ministers:
John and Jessica Lemyre are full time missionaries in Traverse City, Michigan. They are currently on staff at the Grand Traverse House of Prayer and also qualified ministers of Restoring The Foundations in both Issue Focused and Thorough Format Ministry.
After receiving a week of life changing ministry themselves, they now desire to bring the same healing and freedom they received to the Body of Christ through the revelation of Jesus' love and the heart of the Father.
